Unloading your shopping from the boot of the car, the wind blows and before you know it, you find yourself locked out of your own house in the wind and rain! The neighbour with the spare key is away for a week in Ireland and your partner is not due home from work for another three hours.
Keeping a key hidden under the wheelie bin or under the pot of geraniums is not recommended and is not a secure way of protecting your house from burglars or other intruders.
However, a small key safe which can be securely and discretely attached to the exterior wall of your house is an ideal way to store a key which can be used in an emergency. Access to the tiny safe is via a 3 or 4 digit combination lock.
Just make sure that you do not forget the 3 or 4 digit code and that you remember to replace the key back in the safe once it has been used.
