Data Encryption Systems

Data encryption is usually used to refer the practice of changing electronic information to a form that can only be read by an individual who can convert it to its original form. The main aim of doing this is for security purposes where unathorised people are denied access. This function is usually achieved using data encryption systems.

Security firms with modern technology   have made use of data encryption techniques to secure their customers data while in transmission. They specialise in COFDM technology, which enables them to have a large worldwide customer base. They also use a wide range of data encryption techniques some of which are going to be discussed in this article.

The discovery of data encryption systems together with the advanced technology in Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (COFDM) has enabled technologically advanced security firms to provide reliable security solutions. These have been very helpful especially to customers since it can be used to cushion them from security threats. COFDM links have also been optimally utilised by leading security and other technology firms to strengthen the security of data being transmitted. This can only be achieved because the COFDM links provide the option of encrypting data into Full motion Video (FMV).This technology is also widely used by surveillance military and police units across the world.

For security firms to emerge as one of the reliable firms in security provision, they have to be at per with the changing technological levels. Some security firms have launched a lightweight surveillance data terminal known as EVENLODE. It was specifically designed for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).This security terminal has additional features like bi-directional Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing link and the ability to be encrypted. It has other downlink equipment like microwave video links which uses COFDM techniques. The microwave video links can work both from air-ground and ground to ground. The EVENLODE terminal is also used by maritime, airborne and ground data applications. The ground to ground video links for example can be used for emergency services.

Security firms with modern technology use branded substitution cipher encryption as their standard. This is considered a very high level of data encryption systems .Another data encryption technique used by security firms is Advanced Encrypted Standard. The Advanced Encrypted Standard 256(AES256) randomises the data in transmission then it immediately decrypts it as soon as the user receives it. This makes it impossible for any unathorised person to get access to the data while in transmission. This technique is very reliable because it guarantees the security of the data to be transmitted. However, the use of the two items above is only subject to exporting license control outside the European Union.

Conclusion

The uses of data encryption systems are aimed at providing security for data as well as complement other security controls. Individual users and business should consider data encryption techniques used by emerging and technologically advanced security firms or even outsource their services for secure transmission of data.
